We are hosting our third DH Interest Group Meet-Up next week. Please join us on Friday, November 15 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM if you’re curious about the Digital Humanities, if you’re interested in integrating digital tools into your teaching and research, or even if you have an idea for a project and would like to brainstorm.
The theme for this meeting is Graduate Education and the Digital Turn. Graduate students will discuss their interests in DH, the role of digital scholarship in their research / careers, and the concerns and challenges of integrating the digital into their work. Speakers include Patricia Gael, Alexandria Lockett, Dawn Taylor, and (your name here!). Please encourage your students, colleagues, and friends to attend because we’d truly like everyone’s input.
The meet-ups take place in the Mann Assembly Room, Paterno Library. These are informal gatherings, so please feel free to bring your lunch and a guest. You are also welcome to volunteer to present a project or idea of your own since there’s always time for brainstorming.
For further information, you can check our website or contact me at dtaylor [at] psu [dot] edu.
If you are unable to attend next week’s meeting, there is still one more chance to attend this semester (don’t worry, there will be more in the Spring): Thursday, December 5 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM.
