We are hosting our third DH Interest Group Meet-Up of the semester this week. Please join us on Friday, March 21 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM if you’re curious about the Digital Humanities, if you’re interested in integrating digital tools into your teaching and research, or even if you have an idea for a project and would like to brainstorm.

We have an exciting lineup of speakers this month, including Sandra Petrulionus, Distinguished Professor of English and American Studies (Penn State Altoona), who will talk about her project, The Almanacks of Mary Moody Emerson: A Scholarly Digital Edition. Elizabeth Thorwart, a senior in French and Francophone studies will discuss her thesis project, Les Carnets de Voyage de Frances Cahn.

As those who’ve attended our get-togethers before know, these are informal gatherings that are meant to be used as a platform for sharing and brainstorming ideas. As such, please feel free to share your projects with the group, offer constructive feedback, and encourage your students, colleagues, and friends to attend.

The meet-ups take place in the Mann Assembly Room, Paterno Library (and there are always lots of yummy snacks). If you are unable to attend this week’s meeting, there will be one more chance to attend this semester.
