The Penn State Libraries is hosting our last DH Interest Group Meet Up of the semester this week. Please join us on Thursday, April 24 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM if you’re curious about the Digital Humanities, if you’re interested in integrating digital tools into your teaching and research, or even if you have a project or an idea for a project that you would like to brainstorm with us.
Our speaker will be Evan Miller (Dept. of Geography), who will talk about his project, Georeferencing the Sanborn Maps. We will also lead the discussion What was your DH discovery this year? Come prepared to share a project, tool, method, topic, or work that inspired, shaped, or otherwise influenced your research.
As those who’ve attended our get-togethers before know, these are informal gatherings that are meant to be used as a platform for sharing and brainstorming ideas. As such, we encourage you to share your ideas and projects with the group, offer constructive feedback, and encourage your students, colleagues, and friends to attend.
The meet-ups take place in the Mann Assembly Room, Paterno Library (and there are always lots of yummy snacks). If you are unable to attend this week’s meeting, there will be one more chance to attend next semester.
