Penn State Libraries now offer access to “Klapp-Online,” the online edition of Bibliographie der französischen Literaturwissenschaft = Bibliographie d’histoire littéraire française, commonly known as “Klapp” after its creator Otto Klapp.

Klapp, is the most comprehensive survey of publications on French literature since 1956. Users will find references for articles and monographs in a variety of subjects. This resource is a valuable complement to the MLA International Bibliography, especially for European publications on French and francophone literature.

Klapp-Online covers the years 1991-2012, with annual updates of new volumes as they become available. The bibliography is distinguished by a number of special features, including annotations and notes on identifying forewords and epilogues, appendices, bibliographic details, and discussions in addition to the bibliographic and subject metadata.

The online version is offered in the three languages: German, English and French. To access the database, visit the Databases A-Z list or follow this link: http://alias.libraries.psu.edu/ERESOURCES/PSU01886

The print edition is available in the Arts & Humanities Reference section, on the 2nd floor of Pattee, call# Z2171.K55.
